Life is Precious
At all stages
Now more than ever in our nation, it is imperative to increase the Church’s awareness of what is happening in the public arena on issues that matter.
We must promote the common good by protecting unborn children. And we must value the vulnerable and the aging.
We believe in the sanctity of life – Protecting our God-given,
inalienable right to life, from conception through every stage of life.
One of our cornerstone beliefs is that every life is a gift from God.
From conception until death, we believe that life is to be treasured. We also believe that those who are vulnerable, aged, and conceived from less than ideal circumstances are loved by God.
We monitor public policy, support leaders, and train citizens on the fundamental concept: life is a gift from God and it should be treated with care.
What God Says About Life:
• “For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb.” (Psalm 139:13)
• “I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made…Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well. My frame was not hidden from you, when I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of the, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them.” (Psalm 139:14-16)
• “….and do not kill the innocent and righteous, for I will not acquit the wicked.” (Exodus 23:7)
• “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; I appointed you a prophet to the nations.” (Jeremiah 1:5)
• “Behold, children are a heritage from the LORD, the fruit of the womb a reward.” (Psalm 127:3)
• “Thus says the LORD who made you, who formed you from the womb and will help you. (Isaiah 44:2)
• “Then the LORD God formed a man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being.” (Genesis 2:7)
