What We Do
Citizens for Traditional Values (CTV) is a nonprofit civic organization working at the grassroots level to promote and preserve Judeo-Christian values in local communities and at the state capitol. CTV advocates for candidates and public policy that reflect those values. This is accomplished through education, networking, and mobilizing the pro-life, pro-family, pro-freedom community in order to engage in the public debate and provide “a positive voice for your values.”
We are monitoring and engaging on your behalf in the Michigan Legislature. For more than 30 years, we’ve advocated for traditional marriage, religious freedom, sanctity of life, educational choice, and limited government. Many state and national leaders look to our positions on candidates and policy issues as they seek to consider the perspective of socially conservative voters.
Through our various programs, we identify, recruit, and educate citizens to connect with their local churches, serve in civic positions, and participate in the political process. We also seek to enlighten families with the truth of our Christian heritage and the importance of preserving our freedoms and liberties for the next generation.

Michigan needs an active voice representing traditional values at the capitol, where big decisions are made that impact us all.
Building upon the relationships we’ve developed with many legislators and staff over the years, CTV represents you with a strong presence in the halls of state government. Our history and credibility enable us to contend for the preservation of freedom, family, and faith where it matters most.
We do this, in part, by monitoring proposed legislation and interacting with state legislators and other government leaders. Our experienced staff provides position papers to legislators and testifies at public hearings and committee meetings to contribute an intelligent, informed viewpoint on key issues.
Legislative briefings, conferences, and action alerts are all part of our effort to incorporate you into the political process.
Keeping you informed of key votes and updating you on legislative initiatives will enable you to effectively communicate with your state legislators and vote your values at the polls.
