Portion from MidWesterner: “At a meeting of the Michigan Board of Education, members voted in favor of adopting new sex education guidelines despite significant pushback from parents, advocacy groups, and at least one board member.
Individuals both supporting and opposing the changes delivered public comment, with the majority, both online and in person, voicing strong opposition. Notably, those who testified in support skewed younger and frequently cited the Michigan Organization on Adolescent Sexual Health. The nonprofit advocacy group encourages youth activism and promotes educational frameworks that align with LGBT ideology.”
