Ballot Initiatives for 2010:

Proposal 1: PROPOSAL 1 A PROPOSAL TO CONVENE A CONSTITUTIONAL
CONVENTION FOR THE PURPOSE OF DRAFTING A GENERAL
REVISION OF THE STATE CONSTITUTION.
 

YES VOTE: A “yes” vote will result in a Constitutional Convention of elected delegates beginning in 2011 which will cost the taxpayers approximately $50 million and last up to 2 ˝ years resulting in economic uncertainty. In addition, all previously adopted amendments will be subject to change.

NO VOTE: A “no” vote will result in Michigan continuing under the current State Constitution adopted in 1963, including all amendments.
