CTV PAC Endorsement Criteria

How It Works

The Citizens for Traditional Values Political Action Committee (CTV-PAC) is registered with the state of Michigan as an "Independent Committee" for the purpose of supporting candidates for political office. The CTV-PAC is a non-partisan, multi-issue, statewide committee representing conservative, pro-life, pro-family values.

After the State filing deadline, we obtain the names and addresses of candidates from the Michigan Secretary of State’s website. We send questionnaires applying to that race to all the candidates (regardless of party). Upon receipt of those questionnaires we grade and assess the information, present it to our PAC board and they make the decision. The date of our endorsement release varies.

If you have specific questions about your area, please email us at ctvpac@gmail.com. Questionnaires will be sent pre-primary and post primary to candidates. Endorsements can only be considered if questionnaires are returned in complete format. Our CTV-PAC leadership will make the decisions and release endorsements soon after decisions processed in house, usually via email letter format.

CTV-PAC does not always get involved in primary races.

Endorsement Criteria

All candidates endorsed by CTV-PAC must reflect basic pro-family values, which include support for:

Races We Endorse

Normally, CTV gets involved in races at the State House level and up. We do not have a Federal PAC so this limits our involvement in Federal races. Examples of races we consider for endorsement:

We consider other races based on request. To ask our board to consider involvement in a race you are involved in or concerned about, please email us at ctvpac@gmail.com. You must provide the following:
1) Your name and full contact information (mailing and resident address, email, phone)
2) The race you ask we consider
3) The district it involves; also, please let us know what cities/counties/townships are involved in this district
4) The contact information for all candidates in the race (*note: we have to send a questionnaire to all the candidates to give them an opportunity to respond)
5) A brief rationale on why we should get involved in this race
