COURT NEWS: State Supreme Court should interpret, not make law

"We are largely remaking the legal culture in this state to return it to a traditional, jurisprudential approach - which is that courts interpret the law, they don't make it," he [Cliff Taylor] said. COURT NEWS: Connecticut Supreme Court Strikes at Marriage

In a 4-3 decision, the Connecticut Supreme Court Friday struck down the state’s marriage law, which defines marriage as the union between one man and one woman, saying it is unconstitutional. Alliance Defense Fund attorneys had filed a friend-of-the-court brief on behalf of the Family Research Council asking the court to affirm marriage. (Continue Reading...)

Clergy for a Conservative Court Sundays

Join Pastors statewide in hosting a CCC Sunday in your church on Sunday, October 26th or Sunday, November 2nd. Use these final Sundays before the election to remind your congregation and fellow church members to:

• Consider the vital importance of a conservative justice system. Send them to www.ctvmichigan.org for additional voter information.
• Research two statewide ballot proposals* they will be voting on. Download this CTV summary with talking points and reproduce it, distribute it, email it and more!
• Pray for the elections.
• Vote on November 4th, remembering that Supreme Court Judge and ballot proposals are in the non-partisan section at the end of the ballot!

*Pastors are allowed to speak for and against Ballot Proposals from the Pulpit.
