Christmas Greetings

“Wow, how is it that I find myself literally days away from 2007?! So much has happened this year that changes the course of millions of people’s lives not only in Michigan but also in the United States of America. New legislation has become law. Newly elected leaders will be taking office as of January. Many citizens exercised their right to vote, and voted for the first time this year. Pastors encouraged their congregations to go to the polls and vote their values, unknown to them – that their vote literally changed the direction of the elections. Individuals prayed – and saw prayers answered. Lives were saved. Dreams were birthed. Eyes were opened. Hearts were changed. Wow. Yeah, all and all I’d say it’s been a great year. And definitely life changing!

Little did we know what would happen in these past 365 days we call 2006. Moments of history have been created. While visions have been etched on hearts, in hopes of 2007.

Let us all remember in this “season of changing years” that God has been good in the past, is good in this moment and waits to give us good gifts in our future. Gifts that change our lives, alter our course, define our character, and make us come forth as gold. Yes, good things are in deed to come.

May our hearts expand with unbelievable hope as we look toward 2007. May we wait with eager expectation as to what is yet to come.

Thanks for the role you play in our lives. Your presence on our team encourages us. Your belief in our mission inspires us. And it is your prayers and our God that empowers us to carry out the call He has given us to answer.
