Your Local Areas: Washington DC is important, what about your local community elected offices? Those who start on the local level will often run for higher office someday, if you let them.
Education Systems: Get to know your kids schools
Your Judges: Influence your local courts
Your Elected Leaders: Build relationships with your leaders
Your Churches/Pastors: Educate your pastor and church on freedoms of, and importance in, government engagement.
        1. Host Citizenship Sundays
        2. Give your Pastor Resources
        3. Serve as a Church Liaison
        4. Issues & Action Committee/Sunday School


EDUCATION IS KEY:
Understand God’s perspective on citizenship
        1. Message: Citizens of heaven, stewards of earthly kingdom

VIGILANCE BRINGS RESULTS:
Follow your leaders’ voting records
        1. Michigan Votes
        2. Michigan Legislature
        3. Mackinac Center

Build relationships with your leaders
        1. Communicate with them frequently (in respectful terms)
        2. Offer gratefulness when they respond to your request


STEWARDSHIP IS OUR GIFT:
The freedoms we have been given come with responsibility from God and duty to our brother, and the next generation.
        1. Take Action whether you feel like it or not
        2. Bring a Friend along in this process

PROJECT 2011-2012:
Important that we hold our current elected officials responsible to what we have just elected them for; but we also must be pro-active for the next upcoming elections.
        1. Join Email Lists: CTV   
        2. Host Coffee and Dessert night: network with other active people in your area, assess community, recent elections and what you’d like to see happen in your area in the next 2 years
