About Citizens for Traditional Values
Welcome to Citizens for Traditional Values (CTV). If you
are not familiar with CTV, we hope this site will offer you insight into
our mission.
Citizens for Traditional Values (CTV) was founded in the mid-1980s by a core
group of passionate citizens who were deeply concerned about America’s
rapidly declining moral and political culture. The supporters of abortion,
homosexual rights, secular humanism and big government were active,
organized and vocal. At the same time Christian and conservative citizens
were largely indifferent and often hostile to being involved in the public
arena. To remain silent was no longer an option while our values were under
such aggressive attack. Instead of complaining about the problems, we
dedicated ourselves to prayer, education and action. Our proactive response
focused on igniting a new sense of responsible citizenship so that leaders
who would take a stand for conservative and traditional family values, would
have a chance to be elected.
CTV is a statewide, grassroots organization that relies on the participation of like-minded individuals to be actively involved in their community. CTV exists to serve churches and citizens who want to be "in the know" about social and political issues and activities. Our programs are designed to equip you to make a difference for the values you care about. We want to serve you by offering information and proven, successful programs that assist you in carrying out your responsible, Christian citizenship.
This site will assist you in your efforts to be involved in promoting and defending Judeo-Christian values in society and government. CTV offers this site as a one-stop shopping center for information and action. With web links and current, useful information, your time here will be well spent.
“We didn’t lose this country in a day. The erosion of our bedrock principles of faith and family must be reversed, even if it takes a lifetime.” James Muffett - CTV President
