Judges. We'll teach you tactics direct you to resources and help you be a

THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT - PHILOSOPHY
Main Presenter: James Muffett
James will address what our philosophy should be toward local government;
he'll help us understand the big picture.
THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT - PROCESS, STRUCTURE & PERSONAL STORY
Main Presenter: Lana Theis
Lana is a current local elected official. She's going to break down the
different levels of local government, what those roles entail and help
attendees understand the different questions local officials have to address.
She'll share her own story and address how she operates in her role with
conservative philosophies.
ISSUE MANAGEMENT
Main Presenter: Jeff Timmer
You’ve heard the stories of the local City Councils who are confronted with
mega liberal issues (i.e. homosexual or gender identity related issues). We as
conservatives need to understand how to address those situations and win. Join
us as we help you: Create a plan, frame the issue, build support, put a face
to the issue, research, find avenues to deliver the message, understand how to
talk on the issue, and how to know your audience.
LOCAL JUDICIAL SYSTEM
Presenters: Dan & Colleen Pero
You’ll receive an overview of how the Michigan courts are organized and how
they might be changing based on upcoming decisions by the Legislature. Learn
from experts on why courts are important, and ways that the left tries to
undermine the judiciary. Join us as we help you recognize judges’ worldview
and what to do when one of them needs to be replaced, starting at your local
court house.
LOCAL STRATEGY
Main Presenter: Dan McMaster
If you want to win a local government seat or ballot initiative as a
grassroots leader, where do you start? We’ll address: how to develop strategy
specialized to your area. You’ll learn how to establish focused goals,
implement effective tactics, and gain insight on how to maximize your group or
teams, and so much more.
COMMUNICATION 101
Main Presenter: Bill Latocki
Conservatives must understand how to be cream of the crop communicators.
We must understand how to better tell our narrative both on the local and
statewide level. Meet someone who has been doing marketing, branding and
communication for over 20 years. He shares our mission, and wants to help
grassroots leaders like you to be an effective communicator and establish a
quality brand within your community for the preservation of our freedom.
**Note: Space is limited to 32 seats for this track.**
