MI Gov Whitmer Announces Pro-Abortion Bill
Gov. Whitmer joined other lawmakers today as they announced plans to introduce a bill that would open the door to decreased regulation of abortion clinics, and repeal Michigan’s 1931 ban on abortions. Named the “Reproductive Health Act”, this legislation would also allow abortions to be performed on minors without parental consent, as well as potentially reducing the health and safety standards other medical facilities are required to follow. WWMT noted that its sponsor, MI Rep. Christie Pagan said of the bill ““No two pregnancies are the same and no one needs or wants politicians making medical decisions for them,” Pagan said. “The women of Michigan are depending on us to guarantee that their personal decision-making stays private between themselves, their doctor and their families.”
CTV believes that life is valuable and should be protected at every stage, and stand behind Right to Life of Michigan as they work to circulate petitions to enact legislation that would ban the horrific practice of dismemberment abortion.
